Tirzepatide is a dual hormone receptor agonist that works on two receptors:
* GIP
* GLP-1
These hormones are involved in appetite, digestion, blood-sugar regulation and how the body responds to food.
Tirzepatide helps reduce appetite, helps you feel fuller for longer and can decrease the amount of food and calories you consume.
Potential Benefits
Tirzepatide may help to:
* Support significant weight loss
* Reduce appetite
* Reduce food cravings
* Help you feel fuller for longer
* Reduce overall food and calorie intake
* Support reduction in waist circumference and body fat
* Support improved blood-sugar control
* Support improvements in certain metabolic health markers
* Make portion control and maintaining a calorie deficit easier for some clients
Tirzepatide is not a muscle-building medication. Adequate protein intake, strength training and proper nutrition are important during weight loss to help preserve muscle mass.
