This course is ideal for:

• Beginners who want to start offering waxing services
• Beauty professionals who want to expand their skill set

Training is delivered step-by-step so students can learn properly, practice between classes, and build confidence over four weeks.

About Your Instructor

This course is led by Shameka Seivwright-McPherson, Founder & Lead Trainer of Shameka’s Artistry Limited, a professional aesthetics brand based in Portmore, Jamaica.

With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Shameka began her career as a makeup artist and expanded into advanced aesthetics and professional waxing. Over the years, she has built her business through professionalism, strict hygiene standards, and consistent client results.

Her journey has also expanded beyond Jamaica through travel experiences such as Colombia & Antigua, while actively extending her brand across other Caribbean territories through her Beyond Borders expansion.

This course reflects the professional standards used in real service delivery  so students learn correct techniques, client safety, and industry discipline from day one.

Training Details

Location: Clarence Close, Cedar Grove, Portmore, St. Catherine

Duration: 4 Weeks

Schedule: Mondays only (1 class per week)

Time: 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Please Note:

This is a structured program. Mondays are not flexible. If you are unable to commit to Monday classes for four weeks, this course will not be a good fit.

What You Will Learn

Full Body Waxing + Skin Theory + Products

Full Body Waxing Practical Training

You will learn how to wax multiple areas of the body, using correct professional technique.

Brazilian waxing is included as part of the full body training.

You will be trained in:

• Proper wax application and removal
• Correct sectioning and clean technique
• Speed and efficiency (without damaging the skin)
• Client comfort and pain management
• Working safely with different hair types and skin types

Skin Theory (Understanding the Skin)

• Basic skin structure and how waxing affects the skin
• Skin sensitivity and how to assess the client before waxing
• Contraindications (when you should NOT wax)
• Common reactions and how to manage them professionally

Product Knowledge + Active Ingredients (Going Deeper)

• Hard wax vs soft wax (when and why to use each)
• Understanding professional waxing products and tools
• Pre-wax and after-wax products (purpose + correct usage)
• Understanding active ingredients used in skincare/aftercare
  (calming, exfoliating, brightening, antibacterial support)
• How to choose the right products based on skin type and client needs

Hygiene, Sanitation & Professional Standards

• Wax room setup and professional workflow
• Disinfection and sanitation practices
• Preventing cross-contamination
• Client consultation and record keeping
• Pre-care and aftercare instructions for clients

Branding & Business Guidance

• How to position yourself professionally as a wax specialist
• How to attract your first clients
• Client retention tips and building consistency

Practical Requirement (Strict)

This program includes hands-on practical training.

You are required to bring a model for practical sessions.

If you do not bring a model when practical training is scheduled, your practical work cannot be completed that day.

Investment & Payment (Strict Policy)

Course Fee: JMD $50,000

Payment Terms:

• 50% deposit required to secure your space (non-refundable)
• Deposit must be paid before classes begin
• Remaining balance is due on the first day of class before training starts

Your space is only confirmed once your deposit is received.

Attendance Policy (Strict Regimen)

This is a structured 4-week program and attendance is mandatory.

• Classes are Mondays only
• Days are not flexible
• If you miss a class, it cannot be repeated or rescheduled
• Students must commit to all 4 sessions to complete the program properly

If Mondays don’t work for your schedule, please do not register.

Outcome
